This is the perfect example of a coin with problems : it
has been polished, mounted and bent. We cannot tell anymore if the coin
is genuine or not. Of course, we would not take the risk! We refused to
buy and gave the coin back to the old lady. |

Pressure cast with the breast of the eagle reengraved and
a fake patina. We are giving this coin back to the consignor. |

Of course, we bought this coin as genuine but it was rejected
by two of our advisors as a XIXth century fake. It is now in our fakes
drawer. |

We bought this one as genuine and rejected it as it is not
an antique strike. One of the rare examples we have of ultra-modern fakes
from electro-erosion copied dies |
Of course, all these coins might be genuine but our opinion is that they
are fakes. We consider no one should take risks at the collector's expense.
The coins we own can be seen in our drawer of fakes in Paris. Comments wellcomed.
